ABOUT ABOUT

Congratulations! You have been selected to be part of the 2019 Youth Agricultural Lifetimes Leadership (YALL) Tour. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about the changing world of agriculture in the 21st century. While on the tour you will have an opportunity to interact with industry leaders in all aspects of agriculture. In the Panhandle you will see one of the most diverse and productive areas of agriculture in the United States. A few of the things you will see includes a diverse crop production area, as well as, witness first-hand the opportunity to tour 3 West Texas Universities. While the tour will be educational in nature, we also have time for fun and recreation. We are looking forward to having you join us for a fun-filled week.

Now for some housekeeping: The registration fee for the tour is $200.00. You have already made the $100 deposit for the trip; the remaining balance is $100. All remaining balances should be paid for online at: by June 1, 2019. Please find attached release forms for the 2019 Y.A.L.L. Tour. Please email us your signed release forms by June 1, 2019.

Since this is a leadership tour and we will be touring and meeting with professionals in the agriculture industry, we will expect everyone to dress appropriately*. During the tour days, the dress code will be business casual: nice jeans (no holes or frays), collared shirts* and closed toed shoes or boots. Nice shorts will be allowed on Thursday with a collared or business professional top (no athletic shorts). Professional casual attire (boys- slacks & collared shirt, girls – slacks & blouse or dress) will be required for one evening activity. While at the hotel you may wear shorts and t-shirts; refer to the roundup dress code relative to shorts and tops. Be sure to bring your swim suits. We may have a little time for swimming at the hotel.

The only cost you will be responsible for, in addition to the $200.00 registration fee, is your extra spending money that you might want to bring. We will be furnishing all meals, refreshments, and lodging. Please arrive for an orientation meeting at 8:00 a.m. at the Kerr County Extension Office on Sunday, July 14th. Please eat breakfast prior to arrival or bring it with you, we will not stop to eat before our first stop. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Kerr County Extension Office at (830)257-6568.
